After my first attempt today when the wind dropped, I got home, but before getting in through the front door, the wind seemed to have picked up quite a bit, so I headed back to the beach.

I was greeted by a proper 20 knot wind, but as it had dropped off earlier I rigged my big kit just in case. This time I was properly powered up and flying along, despite the state of my badly delaminated board. It certainly needs a lot more power to get it going than it used to, and I can feel the skin on the undersire flexing and actually slapping about as I sail across the water. Its quite a mess really as i can depress the skin by about an inch all over the hull of the board and it is delaminated all across the botom, and in place on the deck.

After about an hour of this, the wind had picked up even more and I was completely maxed out all the time so changed down to my 5,7m sail and old Hifly 265 board. It took a couple of runs to get used to the slightly different sailing style of this board, but I soon got into the swing of things and started enjpying the speed. After i'd been on the water for about 3 hours, ajdesq turned up at the beach and had a quick fly with his kite on the beach, then Chirs turned up and came out kite-surfing. Later on Shem was there kitesurfing and Johny went out for a windsurf.

All in all an excellent session.
